Voz Collegiate Preparatory Charter School
Located in Albuquerque’s Southeast Quadrant, Voz Collegiate Preparatory Charter School equips students in grades 6-8 with the 21st century academic skills, professional habits, and personal voice to succeed within and to graduate from the colleges of their choice.
Voz Collegiate Preparatory Charter School was founded by Isaac Rivas-Savell, a native New Mexican who previously served as the New Mexico Public Education Department’s Teacher Liason, and who taught and served as an Assistant Principal at public middle and elementary schools in Eunice and Roswell. Mr. Rivas-Savell participated in the prestigious Building Excellent Schools (BES) Fellowship, which trains strong leaders to build and launch a high-achieving school that responds to the needs of its community.
Excellent Schools New Mexico provided funding to support Mr. Rivas-Savell’s BES Fellowship and provided start-up capital to help launch Voz Collegiate Preparatory Charter School.
"As a product of New Mexico’s public school system, I am honored to have the privilege to take my experience to the frontlines to found and lead a game-changing middle school that will alter the public’s perception of education. At Voz Collegiate, we will reimagine and redefine what the middle school experience can and should be for the students and families we intend to serve."
