Our Purpose
Excellent Schools New Mexico is a nonprofit organization devoted to ensuring that all New Mexico children have the opportunity to fulfill their potential and lead healthy, meaningful lives.
We make high-impact grants to our state’s best schools and educators so that more New Mexico children can receive a quality public school education.
Our Investments
We strongly prioritize supporting local, entrepreneurial school leaders who have demonstrated track records of raising student achievement, especially for our state’s most at-risk students.
We support these leaders by providing short-term, catalytic grants to help bring their ideas to fruition. We do not believe that our role is to generate – or dictate – ideas, but instead to support innovation by exceptional individuals who have spent their entire careers working for kids.
