Transcend School Design Collaborative
Since our founding, Excellent Schools New Mexico has focused on backing educators who aim to design transformational schools that provide unlimited opportunities for all students. To help catalyze this work, we launched the School Design Collaborative in partnership with Transcend, a nonprofit organization that supports school communities to create and spread extraordinary, equitable learning environments.
Beginning in early 2019, we embarked on a six-month journey with teams of educators from five public schools across the state to help these educators reimagine and redesign their schools. This experience included three in-person convenings, several “Inspiration Visits” to schools and other learning organizations, one-on-one coaching, and the opportunity to pilot and test an on-campus signature school experience.
Excellent Schools New Mexico covered the cost for all five teams of educators to participate in this intensive, collaborative opportunity.
