MAS Charter School – Old Coors Campus

Located in Albuqurque, Mission Achievement and Success (MAS) Charter School believes that all children regardless of race, economic status, or past educational experiences can succeed if they have access to a great education.

MAS Charter School was founded by JoAnn Mitchell, who has spent her entire career serving at-risk public school students. In 2012, MAS Charter School launched its first campus in south Albuquerque, and the school quickly became one of the highest performing public schools in New Mexico.

As a result of strong community demand – as evidenced by a waiting list exceeding 1,000 students – Excellent Schools New Mexico provided startup capital to help MAS Charter School launch its second campus on Albuquerque’s Southwest Mesa, on Old Coors Road.

In its first year, MAS Charter School – Old Coors was a NMPED designated “Spotlight School”, ranking 2nd among all New Mexico public schools in overall academic performance.
